environmental obscurity
Apparently we have seals and a porpoise (among other such sealife) here in NYC (not just at the Aquarium). Who knew?

Starting tomorrow, NYC will have access to kangaroo, deer and rabbit, prepared Texan style.

Fashion Week collections from the Project Runway finalists (last week). I don't necessarily agree with the associated opinions and predictions, but we'll see. Uli still totally has it.

Also, I think that for one of the challenges on Project Runway the contestants should have to redesign that god awful Hooter's uniform. Surely it could be better, sexier, and generally more compelling than it is.

For days now listening to the Happy Talk Band many many times.

And (if it hasn't been done already) someone should seriously explore (write about) the emotional/social human side of the (scary) implications of the peak oil issue. Because really, the related scientific and industrial/societal issues have been explored a lot already, but the ways in which revolution and the notion of true change is terribly scary to the average Westerner (American) is a potentially big issue and impediment to progress. And kinda interesting.

eve of l'absinthe...? or something.

#1: ... ; #2: found while working. on me I want; #3: found while working. cool wings but not for my wedding; #4: snapping on the NOLA ground; #5: result of the NOLA ground snapping.

So relieved to officially be on leave of absence.
