refrigerated flesh
In frustration and desperation, yesterday I finally got the AC out from the back of the closet and got it in the window all by my lonesome, in the horrid heat. And today it's less hot. Go figure.

Just a few more hurdles left.

no blog
I haven't felt like addressing the public, or most individuals for that matter. But after being questioned by a bunch of people as to my recent lapse in writing, I realized that I have a responsibility to write things here at least occasionally. The audience apparently demands it as they are bored at their jobs. Or want to know what's going on with me. Or something.

The content will be relatively topical.

The other day I made 2 delicious quiches with no recipe or calculated measurements of any kind. This is how I always cook and it always comes out well. One day I will write a cooking advice book and I will call my method "Leap of Faith cooking".

Why is every woman in NYC wearing a fucking flowy white skirt? Was there a memo sent out that I missed? I don't mind them aesthetically, but I would never wear one at this point because every single other girl is. Unless, of course, I needed to go incognito. Trend-following is generally lame, and this particular one has obviously reached a point of oversaturation.

Also, it looks like a lot of the girls are wearing thick horizontal 2-color stripes where one of the colors is black. The 80's style was mostly ugly and unflattering back then, and this hasn't changed in the past 20 years. Also, most 80's pop music sucked back then, and it still sucks now. I don't care if you grew up with The fucking Go-Go's and Duran Duran and whatnot. The only difference now is that you can't blame your bad taste on being young (some nostalgia is acceptable)... (unless, of course, you are young now (under 25?) in which case, being young doesn't count as an explanation for your bad taste because you have put in the extra effort to reach back in time in order to exercise your bad judgement, and perhaps a totally exaggerated sense of nostalgia too.)
