testify
I just finished a client project, which can currently be found here.

It's hard to place a client testimonial within my site but it's blog worthy so here are the kind words that Richard sent me:

I appreciate all the hard work, the constant focus and the ability to see it thru to the end. you are a great designer and a really good people person, so working with you on this project, things seemed to come naturally - almost automatic...

dogs
Yesterday morning, in the kitchen pouring myself some coffee, I heard yelling outside the apartment door. Our new(ish) neighbor was yelling at the building manager about something I didn't get to hear specifically. Something about a repair or some other type of thing like that, I'm sure. Neighbor man was yelling "I'm sick of your bullshit" a lot. They almost got in a fist fight in the hallway outside the apartment door. The ironic part of this is that we go through building managers quickly around here and the current one is the best one so far. Good morning.

Last night I pulled a muscle in my thigh and every time I moved so much as a centimeter all night long, I'd wake up screaming. The pain is more tolerable now.

Polly's been peeing outside of the box, on 2 of Rahmin's bags. He had to throw them away. And both cats have been on the furniture, knocking things over, and yelling more than normal. Amanda says that Maisie has had severe chewing and other behavior problems lately.

Amanda's having a boy! I'll post the sonogram photos soon since she doesn't know how to do so in her blog.

so you'll aim towards the sky
I usually don't remember my dreams.
And when I do, they're usually not negative and if they are there is always resolution.
But not lately.
Last week I had a dream where I had a baby towards whom I recall feeling only love. I went to pick up the baby in an appropriate manner and as soon as I did, it's neck snapped and it's head was dangling in this sick way and I flipped out.
Then last night I had a dream that I was stuck in the elevator of my building. I remember ringing the emergency alarm but I don't know what happened after that.
And that's the story of my dream life for now.

Pics of reality to be posted later.

shifting universe
blogger.com was recently redesigned and now I have to use html even for text if I want line breaks where I want them and stuff.

After playing together last night, it looks likely that Holly and I will be spinning together some Saturdays at Babinga in Park Slope. It's a nice bar with a beautiful garden out back and is attached to an affiliated bistro with delicious food. A sister DJ act is such a cool, effortless gimmick and our styles compiment each other quite nicely. Fuckin' awesome.

My sleep schedule is so erratic it shouldn't even be referred to as a schedule.

Some say that although it's impressive that Connor Oberst has released so much material by such a young age (how old is he now? Like 22?), that the volume of his available material is so vast because he'll release anything, even if it's not great. Realizing that after receiving the Bright Eyes vinyl boxed set for Christmas, between CDs and records, I now have 8 of their albums, I've been making a point to listen to all of them and thus far I have not found any of the material on any of these albums to not be good. Perhaps this is partially an indication of where I am in my life right now. Besides all of that, there's plenty else I've been listening to. My favorite new record is the 7" of the Flying Lizards' version of 'Money' that Rahmin got me for my birthday.

I found out that my great aunt, Jeanette, is having open heart surgery this week. She is in her 80s, is my grandmothers' sister, and although we have never been anything close to close, her mannerisms remind me a lot of my grandmother. My plan for the end of the week is to stay with Sherry in Greenwich and loll around by the swimming pool all day drinking tequila. I should also visit the hospital. What a contrast. But it's all about the passing of time. Always.

I ordered a new scanner today, a slick looking Epson. I love getting things in the mail, especially larger items. Pre-Christmas is the most fun time of the year for me because I do so much shopping online that packages arrive most every day. It doesn't matter to me if the stuff in them isn't necessarily for me.

babies, children and stuff

Last weekend Jeremy called me to tell me that Soojin (his wife, if you don't know) is pregnant. So, now, besides Amanda and Katy, there will be more new parents in my social circle. I never thought this would all happen so soon. I got to see Katy in the brief time she was in town. Erica's calling the unborn child BabyKaty and wont change her name for it turns out to be a boy (BabyPhil?). And me and Jade hung upside down and took photos, among other things...

swollen knuckles
I have not posted anything much about current mishaps, troubles and confusion in my life lately, although there is plenty... but I will say OWWWW!, I just got 3 of my fingers caught in the recliner, showing Sherry how to recline. And the humidity. Bitch.

fizz
It took me a really long time to finally find seltzer delivery (with the antique spigot bottles and all) and now NY Press jumps my mojo an writes an article about this very service. Apparently the reason I had such trouble tracking down this service in the first place is because they are the last one left.
