words
I was just reading some of my friends' blogs and they write so much more than I do. I'm all with the pictures which is fine but with different dimensions than words.

Today I can hardly move because I've been busy every night, drinking a lot, for over a week now. With birthdays and going-away celebration and schoolwork
and work work, it's hard to avoid but soon I will start avoiding this. One more week until this hellish semester is over. I can see the finish line but there is a pit of alligators before it.

Last night we went to Bulgarian discotheque for bye-bye Sherry party. It is the best place to go dancing ever. The DJ is super-fab, so good that I can even forgive that he spins CDs rather than vinyl. All international music. A lot of gypsy and eastern european music but other stuff too. He played Batucada.

yesterday
Although I've had some great times since Saturday, it was not a complete birthday for me until Emily Parker called me from Hong Kong. I knew she'd come through somehow but the phone call was unexpected. I should elaborate on the other birthday stuff but I'm too tired with a legacy hangover.

looking up
some party pics from last night. There will be more later. I was too preoccupied most of the night to take pictures. Matt, send me photos.

fried
My computer got fried and it's gone for awhile. I'm sad. This is cute.

really strong cobwebs
I'm depressed. This rain is making things that are already hard, even harder. I got some satisfaction from reading this list of Voltaire quotes

heartfelt words on parental loss
by Weird Al...? http://www.weirdal.com/msg.htm

Truly tragic.

I've always found him and his music to be pretty annoying (save for the polkas, thanks to Terence), but now I have a newfound respect for him, the individual. Good words.

orange and green
I got dressed and went to do the laundry, whereupon I realized that the clothing I had put on keenly matches the bottle of Tide I'm using for the wash:

guns

...of Brixton (The Clash):
When they kick at your front door
How you gonna come?
With your hands on your head
Or on the trigger of your gun

creepy
This doll by the garbage in the basement freaked me out...
...so I decided to take pictures of it and put them in my blog.

28 days
Recently Terence reminded me that he's exactly a menstrual cycle older than me. Last night we celebrated his birthday which was actually on Tuesday. Andy's birthday began at the stroke of midnight.
