"How I learned to stop completely despising internet video"
(thanks to Aaron Behren's dance moves)

I was originally trying to post something much more meaningful, but I wanted to post this too. I still hate YouTube.

The important part.

Despite recent events, my dad's friends still gathering to play at the house Sunday.

Real different.
Usually it's just a matter of the same old crap being repackaged.
It's refreshing to see real innovation, even if it's not always good.

Real pragmatic help for the homeless.
Go go Google voicemail!

Real brand identity.
Yet another thing to buy.

Real wow.
Building plans for Dubai.

Real whacked out.
Anti-pollution needn't be humourless.

Real turn off to turn on.
Shhh.

FILL IN THE BLANKS
removing something = adding a blank.
Garfield minus Garfield.
Brilliant.

real or fake?
Spot the fake smile.
It's in the eyes. It's hard.

filling space with sound.
Across the universe across the universe.
I don't get the point, but okay.

my 'hood
When people ask me where I live [Ditmas Park], I most always get one of two responses: "Where's that?" or "Oh, I love that neighborhood". But the former response is more common, even as the neighborhood has been steadily gentrifying and property is selling like hotcakes in the 5 years since I moved in.

Some edumacation: Opposite side of Prospect Park from Park Slope. 25 minutes to Manhattan/Union Square from my Church Ave subway B/Q trains. Close to everything, yet with gorgeous residential streets that are often silent during the day save for birds chirping and leaves rustling. Pretty, liberal, diverse, minimally toxic, and according to NY Mag we have the best fries in the city. We also apparently have such notable music-making hipsters as Sufjan Stevens, Jens Lenkman, The National, and lots more. S'good.

superfluous technological advances
As if people's rampant public cellphone use wasn't annoying enough, now a whole bunch of subway stations are being wired to accomodate them.

Space currency!
...designed to withstand the stresses of space travel and has no sharp edges or chemicals that could hurt space tourists... they will not damage anything if they accidentally float free in zero gravity.

Summer's over.
Autumnal equinox- 5:52 am EDT on Sept. 23:
the theoretical moment of equal day and night.

There's a flickr group for everything.
Insect porn.

I like the word amphoteric. If it's not already, it should be used outside of chemistry, to mean something like adaptable.

No logo.
Photos since the outdoor advertising ban in Sao Paolo.

Does God show up when you're having sex?
The American Virgin probably has no idea.

A lot of people suck at geography.
Do you?
